Hardy County has been described as the cycling mecca of the Mid-Atlantic region. Avid cyclist and serious competitive cyclists have been coming from all across the Mid-Atlantic to train and challenge themselves on the hills of Hardy County. With an average elevation of 1,000 feet per every 10 miles, you get the picture. It’s not just rolling hills but spectacular hills.
Lost River Barn, also known as Raw Talent Ranch on Branch Mountain has been hosting world class competitive athletes and professional cyclists including members of Tour de France Teams, a former Olympian and the U.S. National Mountain Bike Champion.

Hardy County is also home to the Lost River Classic Road Race. A 10-mile circuit race with exciting hills and turns and the most beautiful scenery for both athletes and spectators to enjoy.
